# Share recordings and control access

> Create Tekma share links with or without DevTools, choose an expiry, and revoke access when a report is no longer needed.

Share links let someone review a capture without joining your workspace when public sharing is permitted. Workspace owners and members can create links; viewers cannot.

## Create a link

1. Open the published capture.
2. Open its sharing controls.
3. Choose **Anyone with the link** for an external recipient or **Workspace members only** for existing members. Choose the content mode when creating a public link.
4. Review expiry: the workspace default, **24 hours**, **7 days**, or **No expiry** when policy permits it.
5. Create the link and copy it to the intended recipient.

Chapters and transcripts are available to recipients when generated. They use the same player navigation as the workspace capture.

## Check the audience

Workspace policies may restrict public sharing or set a default expiry. If a public link cannot be created, keep the capture inside the workspace or ask its owner to review policy.

A share URL contains access material. Treat the complete URL as something intended for its recipients, not as a public identifier to paste into unrelated logs or tickets.

Copy a newly created public link before leaving the dialog. Tekma cannot display its secret URL again later; if you lose it, create another permitted link and revoke the unused one.

## Revoke a link

Use the capture's sharing controls to revoke an existing link. The recipient will no longer be able to use that link. Revoking a link does not delete the capture from your workspace.

Expired links, revoked links, and links to deleted captures stop resolving. If a teammate still needs the recording, create a new permitted link or restore the capture if it remains in Trash.

## Before sending externally

Play the recording and inspect any included diagnostic context. Verify that the link points to the intended capture and that its expiry covers the investigation. For sensitive reports, use a shorter expiry and revoke access when the issue is resolved.
