# Delete a Tekma account

> Review workspace ownership and billing consequences before submitting an account deletion request.

Account deletion removes your sign-in and access after Tekma accepts the request. It is not a sign-out and there is no self-service undo.

## Review the impact

Open **Profile & sessions → Delete account**. Tekma shows a preview of affected workspaces and plans. If you are the last owner of a shared workspace, transfer ownership before continuing. Review any subscription and active integrations with the workspace owner.

Sign out, sign in again, and complete the deletion flow within ten minutes; an authenticator challenge is required when MFA is enabled. When prompted, type `DELETE`. Tekma shows a receipt and status in the same tab. Access ends when the request is accepted; billing and media cleanup can remain pending while providers and retention jobs complete.

Shared team content remains with a Deleted account attribution when the workspace continues. Shared billing continues under another owner. If a workspace has only this account as a member, deleting the account cancels that workspace subscription without refund or proration; invoices remain available. Deleting the last owner of a shared workspace is blocked until ownership is transferred. Personal sessions and tokens are revoked, and integrations or webhooks configured by the deleted user are disabled. Team recording personal data is not erased simply by deleting the account. Sole-member workspace content follows the deletion flow shown in the preview. Tekma does not promise instant erasure from external provider copies or previously delivered messages.

If the preview is not what you expect, cancel before typing the confirmation and ask another workspace owner to review membership, billing and share links.
