By the end of this guide, you will have a published capture with a descriptive title and a link you can share.

Before you start

You need a Tekma account, a workspace where you are an owner or member, and desktop Chrome or a compatible Chromium browser. Viewers can review captures and comment but cannot create recordings.
1

Connect your browser

Sign in at tekma.dev. Open Settings → Browser extension and follow the extension installation guide. Select Connect securely in the extension and approve the correct workspace.
2

Open the page with the problem

Prepare a short, repeatable example. Start one step before the failure so the recording includes the action that caused it. Close unrelated sensitive tabs and use test data where possible.
3

Capture the reproduction

Open Tekma in the browser toolbar and choose Record tab. Perform the actions that reproduce the bug, then stop. Choose Screenshot instead when a still image explains the issue.
4

Review and publish

Review the recording before publishing. Use a title that names the feature and the unexpected behavior. Check the captured content, then publish the capture to your workspace.
5

Share the result

Open the capture and create a share link. Choose Without DevTools for visual context or With DevTools when the recipient needs diagnostic information. Copy the link and send it to the person investigating the issue.

Check the result

Play the recording from the beginning. Confirm that the problem is visible, the important actions are included, and the chosen share mode is appropriate. Automatic chapters and transcripts can appear after the original video is ready. A useful report answers three questions: what did you do, what did you expect, and what happened instead? A timestamped comment is a good place to add the last two.
