Review what a capture contains before sharing it. Video pixels, spoken audio, page URLs, and diagnostic information can each reveal information about the recorded session.

Browser extension recordings

The extension applies supported privacy rules to captured content. Detected sensitive regions are redacted in the recording output rather than by changing the live page. Browser events are filtered, and input values are not recorded as user-action text. No automatic detection can identify every sensitive detail in arbitrary page content. Use test accounts and review the resulting capture, especially when a page contains personal information or confidential business data.

CLI recordings

The CLI records the browser supplied to it and captures diagnostic context. It does not provide element-level video redaction. If sensitive information is visible in that browser, it can be present in the video. Use public examples or synthetic data for agent demonstrations. Local recording mode avoids uploading a recording, but the saved file still contains the visible content.

Workspace controls

Workspace owners can review policy in Settings → Privacy. Workspace rules constrain capture and sharing behavior. A share option may be unavailable because of those rules, even if the recording itself succeeded.

Share only the context the recipient needs

Choose Without DevTools when the recipient needs visual context only. Choose With DevTools for an investigation that needs console and network information. Removing DevTools from a share does not remove sensitive details that are visible in the video or audible in its audio. A public share URL grants access to its permitted content. Share it only with intended recipients and revoke it when no longer needed.

Automatic processing

Automatic chapters and transcripts are generated from the recording’s video and audio. They are separate from an explicitly requested AI summary or reproduction analysis. A chapter title is not a guarantee that the recording contains no sensitive data. See share links and account access for the other parts of access control.
