Take a screenshot in the extension
Open the connected extension and choose Screenshot. The extension captures the visible browser area, not a full-page scroll. If timing matters, choose Add description and timing and select No delay, 3 seconds, or 6 seconds before the capture.
The composer opens after capture. Use Select, Pen, Rectangle, Circle, Arrow, Line, or Text to explain the problem. Use Redact sensitive area for pixels you do not want to share, then use Crop and Apply crop when the surrounding page is irrelevant. Undo and redo are available for annotations and crop changes.
Add a title and description, then choose Create report. New screenshots start private in All captures. Review the saved image and any surrounding context before creating a share link.
Include surrounding context can preserve the redacted viewport outside the crop. Crop and annotation are presentation tools; inspect the final pixels before sharing.
Import an image with the CLI
The CLI supports PNG, JPEG and WebP imports:
The original page URL is required. The CLI keeps the source image bytes and metadata, creates no browser diagnostics, and does not generate video chapters or streaming renditions. Use privacy guidance when an image contains account or customer data.
Review and share
Screenshots have no timeline or transcript. They can still carry a title, description, comments, folder and share audience. Choose With DevTools only when diagnostic context exists and is useful; an image import cannot reconstruct context that was not captured.
