Use the capture editor to make a reproduction easier to review. Workspace owners and members can edit captures; viewers cannot.

Trim the beginning or end

Open the recording and enter its editing controls. Adjust the trim range to keep the useful portion, preview the result, and save your changes. Keep enough lead-in to show what caused the issue.

Remove an irrelevant section

Use the timeline’s cut controls to exclude a portion in the middle. Preview the transition before saving so you do not remove the action that explains a later error. Use undo if the result is not what you intended. Edits are non-destructive: the editor keeps the source recording and represents excluded sections separately. Trimming is an editing tool, not a substitute for reviewing sensitive content before recording or choosing appropriate sharing permissions.

Correct chapters and transcript text

Choose Correct text and chapters in the recording navigation panel. Correct misleading chapter titles or inaccurate recognized speech, then save. Recheck the section against the video so the text remains useful to other viewers. Automatic generation is the starting point; manual correction is available when the result needs adjustment. If generation failed, use the available retry control instead of recording the entire reproduction again.

Verify the shared experience

After editing, reopen the capture and check the important transitions. When the capture is shared, confirm that viewers can still find the intended chapter and understand the sequence of events. See sharing permissions for what external recipients can access.
