Editors are workspace owners and members. Viewers can review and comment but cannot change a capture.

Trim a recording

  1. Open the capture and choose its editing control.
  2. Drag the Clip start and Clip end handles to keep the useful range.
  3. Use the timeline to select an unwanted middle section and choose Delete selected clip.
  4. Preview the retained sequence. Use Undo timeline edit, Redo timeline edit, or Recover trimmed footage when the result is wrong.
  5. Choose Save edit and wait for the capture to refresh.
The edit is non-destructive: the source and excluded ranges remain part of the retained capture record for authorized editing and recovery. Cropping is not redaction. Permanently delete the capture when the source itself must be removed.

Correct chapters and transcript text

Open the chapter/transcript editing panel from the recording navigation and choose Correct text and chapters. Edit a chapter title or transcript phrase, keep timestamps in order, then choose Save corrections. Tekma rejects overlapping or out-of-range chapter changes. A generated title or transcript can be wrong; compare it with the video and audio.

Update the report

Use the capture details and description controls to change the title or description. Titles are limited to 200 characters and descriptions to 5,000. A recording reference can link a ticket URL or identify a reporter; it is visible to workspace members and omitted from public shares. The AI panel can offer Generate title, a summary, or reproduction steps when workspace AI is permitted and configured. AI actions are explicit and can report insufficient evidence or a concurrent edit. Treat output as generated assistance, then review it before sharing.

Compare a Figma design

To attach a design reference, include a normal HTTPS Figma link in the capture description. Tekma recognizes Figma design, file, board and proto links from figma.com or www.figma.com; an optional node-id or starting-point-node-id focuses the reference on a specific node. You do not connect a Figma account or import the design into Tekma. Open the capture or an eligible share after saving the description. Choose Compare design (or Compare design 2, and so on when several links are present) to open the embedded reference beside the capture. Choose Open in Figma for the source page or close the design panel to return to the normal layout. Tekma accepts up to five distinct Figma references in a description. The embed is subject to the Figma file’s sharing permissions. A viewer who cannot access the file sees the capture without a usable design preview. Tekma sanitizes the supported Figma URL and keeps only the supported node selector; arbitrary embed URLs, credentials and unrelated query parameters are not imported.

Check the shared result

After saving, play the capture from the beginning, check that comments and timed diagnostics still land at the intended moments, and open an existing share to confirm its audience. Editing does not make a previously private capture public. See comments and share controls.
