An owner creates and manages recording links. Members and viewers can inspect the list but cannot create, edit or revoke a request. A recording link is different from a share link: it collects a new capture rather than opening an existing one.

Create a request

  1. Open Library → Recording links and choose Create a recording link.
  2. Enter the required Website to record origin, then optionally set a name, recording title, reference, JSON metadata and destination folder.
  3. Choose Never, 7 days, 30 days (the default), or 90 days for expiry.
  4. Create the link and copy its secret URL immediately. Tekma cannot display that URL again later.
The guest recording is limited to 5 minutes and 50 MiB. A title preset is a suggestion that the guest can edit before sending. When the required website origin matches a same-workspace recording domain with both ownership and installation verified, the guest can use the connected Record on the website flow. What the guest does

The guest opens the URL and follows Prepare → Record → Review & send. In the hosted flow, they choose whether to include microphone or shared audio, accept I agree to record and share my selected screen, select Choose screen and record, and use Pause, Resume and Stop. A three-second countdown starts the capture. In the connected flow, they keep the original link tab open, choose Record on the website, accept the tab and diagnostics consent, optionally include a microphone, choose Start recording, and select the current tab in Chrome or Edge. They can preview, download, choose Record again, or send the recording. The capture remains on the guest’s device until they choose send. Browser permissions and selected source determine what is recorded. Closing the page is not a completed opt-out; preserve the local recording if an upload fails.

Find and manage submissions

From a link row, choose View submissions to open the library filtered to that request. Owners can edit presets, folder and expiry for an unrevoked link, or choose Revoke. Changing a preset does not rewrite submitted captures. An expired, revoked or exhausted link cannot accept another submission. The CLI can submit with an authorized recording-link token. Keep the token private; it grants a bounded upload path and does not make the caller a workspace member. See connected website recording when a customer must record inside a verified site.
